About the Role
As a Compliance Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert in human research protections, providing oversight, training, and education to Navy commands and research partners. This is a unique opportunity to shape ethical research practices across a global enterprise.
What You'll Do
+ Provide expert guidance on DoD, Navy, FDA, and federal human research protection regulations
+ Conduct compliance site visits and prepare detailed reports
+ Review IRB protocols, minutes, and institutional assurances
+ Develop and deliver engaging training programs and educational materials
+ Lead initiatives to improve training quality and regulatory awareness
+ Create content for newsletters and other communications highlighting Navy research and regulatory updates
What You Bring
+ Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience in human subjects protections
+ Deep knowledge of 45 CFR 46, FDA regulations, and DoDI 3216.02 (required)
+ CIP certification or eligibility strongly preferred
+ Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
+ Experience with virtual training tools and instructional design
+ Proficiency in MS Office; Adobe InDesign and SharePoint a plus
+ S. citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
+ Willingness to travel (10–15 days/year, domestic and international)
