    Job Summary

    As the Managing Director, you will lead and hold a highly visible role both within and outside of Ross, having strategic and operational responsibility for the One Year Masters Programs. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, you will be a key member of the community to continue to strengthen Ross' reputation as a leading business school with a significant national footprint.

     

    This role is hybrid, requiring work on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan. May work some evenings and weekends. Required to travel to events around the United States and Internationally, approximately 10-20 days/year.     + Be the primary ambassador for the program.

    + In partnership with the Associate Dean/Faculty Director(s) set the strategic direction including planning, developing, and implementing short and long-range goals, along with developing new program initiatives.

    + Manage the program teams responsible for the daily operations of all program components and events; model and promote a collaborative, learning-oriented, and high-performance culture; select, supervise, develop, mentor and evaluate direct reports.

    + Work with other departments and schools across U-M, departments within Ross, students, faculty, corporate recruiters, and donors to provide seamless delivery of high-quality curricular and co-curricular experiences for our students.

    + Engage prospective students by leading information sessions, hosting prospective students, and providing leadership to the strategic recruiting plan.

    + Build and nurture relationships with our students, participate in resolving concerns and issues and implementing new projects to enhance their experience.

    + Work with admissions, finance, and the Associate Dean on our scholarship strategies.

    + Collaborate with our marketing and communications team on admissions and other strategic or programmatic collateral to ensure quality enrollment and growth.

    + Evaluate the program in collaboration with the Associate Dean and Faculty Council for Graduate Programs, and use outputs to inform program strategy and other improvements.

    + Manage the operating budget to align with our program strategy.

    + Monitor the latest trends, research, student interests, and competitors to identify creative opportunities to enhance the program and student experience.

    Required Qualifications*

    + Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Business, or related field.

    + 8+ years of experience in related positions such as advanced program development, marketing, strategic planning, and organizational development in a complex organization.

    + 3+ years experience leading and managing a team (formal or project-based).

    + Demonstrated multicultural fluency and an interest in working in a diverse, matrixed environment.

    + Proficiency and applied experience in project management.

    + Demonstrated leadership and networking experience.

    + Applied budget management experiences and advanced proficiency in common business technology.
