    Parkview Behavioral Health, located at 1720 Beacon Street, consists of four adult units totaling 55 beds and one youth unit with 34 beds. The adult units serve individuals aged 18 and older, while the youth unit admits patients between the ages of 5 and 17. All admissions are for acute inpatient care, with typical stays ranging from three to seven days.

     

    At Parkview Behavioral Health, we are responsible for managing a diverse range of psychiatric diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, Substance Use Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.

     

    The behavioral health team embraces a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care, providing nurses the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and behavioral health specialists. The primary objective of each inpatient stay is to stabilize patients experiencing a psychiatric crisis and equip them with the community-based resources necessary for continued success in an outpatient setting.

    Summary

    This position will be responsible for providing direct patient care to all developmental populations which includes maintaining milieu/patient safety, providing skill building/psycho-educational groups, and observing patient behavior/and pertinent documentation.

    Education

    Associate's degree in a psych related field or must be a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) and have completed their first clinical experience. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).

     

    Licensure/Certification

     

    If assigned to drive company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. If assigned to drive personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver’s license. CPR required within 60 days; and CPI required within 90 days.

    Experience

    1 year, will consider other relevant experience.

    Other Qualifications

    Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
