    The E-Commerce Manager (payroll title: Program Coordinator) reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation and is responsible for planning, execution, and daily management of UW Athletics’ e-commerce initiatives and fan communication strategy. This position plays a key role in driving ticket sales, donation revenue, and fan engagement through optimized digital marketing efforts and data-informed decision-making. Working across all nine ticketed sports, the E-Commerce Manager will focus on improving the customer experience, personalizing fan communications, increasing conversion rates and average order value, and building long-term relationships with Husky fans and stakeholders.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Own and execute email marketing campaigns for all ticketed sports programs, including concept development, content creation, segmentation, and reporting, with an emphasis on maximizing engagement, conversion, and revenue.

    • Manage and optimize the e-commerce sales process, including email and landing page presentation, purchase flow enhancements, and content layout across GoHuskies.com to improve the end-to-end digital fan experience.

    • Drive performance marketing initiatives, including A/B campaign testing, message personalization, and behavior-based segmentation to improve conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value.

    • Support and evolve marketing automation using Oracle Eloqua, ensuring segmented, timely, and impactful communication across audience groups.

    • Collaborate with revenue, digital, and creative teams (Creative, Marketing, Ticketing, Tyee Club, NIL, Husky Sports Properties) to fulfill required communications and ensure cohesive messaging and delivery across platforms.

    • Support fan development through lifecycle marketing, including lead generation campaigns, targeted retention communications and high-touch engagement with high-value donors, season ticket holders and key stakeholder groups.

    • Maintain a transparent campaign calendar and request tracking system for all outbound communications and deliver actionable reports and dashboards on fan behavior, engagement metrics, revenue impact, and database growth to inform leadership and key stakeholders.

    • Serve as a Revenue Generation liaison in cross-functional sport meetings to align ticket strategy and promotions with program objectives and stay current on digital trends across e-commerce, email marketing, and fan engagement and apply best practices to Husky Athletics strategy.

    • Integrate merchandise and partner promotions into digital campaigns to grow average order size and fan value.

    • Manage department-wide email communications for institutional announcements, including leadership updates (e.g., head coach and athletic director updates), conference-level and NCAA news, and other high-impact messages.

    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience supporting both e-commerce and customer engagement.

     

    _Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration._

    Additional Requirements:

    Strong skills in campaign execution, audience segmentation, and performance analysis are essential. Aptitude to understand concepts of automated workflow creation, revenue tracking, and lead generation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with non-traditional hours including some nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

    DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

    Experience with Oracle Eloqua or other automation tools, and prior work in NCAA Division I athletics, professional sports, or live events is highly valued. Familiarity with CMS platforms like Sidearm and design tools such as Photoshop or Canva is a plus. Candidates with strong project management skills and the ability to navigate fast-paced, cross-functional environments will thrive in this role.
