    Good Shepherd Fairview Homes is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team!

     

    Position Detail: Typical schedule Monday - Friday, day shift; Occasional after hours and/or weekend as needed

    Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the organization's mission and goals. The Director of Human Resources will ensure a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promote employee engagement and development, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to navigate the unique challenges of senior living. This position supports both Good Shepherd (GS) Village at Endwell and GS Fairview Home

     

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.

    + Provide strategic direction and leadership to the HR department, ensuring HR policies and programs support the organization's objectives

    + Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent

    + Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning, performance management, and career development programs

    + Address and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices

    + Help develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs

    + Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives

    + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

    + Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate HR-related risks

    + Conduct regular audits of HR policies and practices to identify and address any compliance gaps

    + Develop and implement HR metrics and reporting systems to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives

    + Prepare and present regular reports on HR metrics, including employee turnover, recruitment, and engagement

    + Identify training needs and create development plans for employees at all levels

    + Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements and track training completion

     

    Essential Job Requirements

     

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

     

    License: NA

     

    Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or ability to earn within 12 months of hire

     

    Experience: 5 years in a HR leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or senior living environment. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external partners
