The ideal candidate for this role is someone with hospitality door greeter and/or traffic control experience at a luxury property. A person who enjoys meeting new people and creating a welcoming environment. Knowledge of valet parking operations or supervisor experience is a plus! The APC Door Greeter ensures the safety of the condominium’s pedestrians, their team members, and traffic flow.

We are looking for customer facing hospitality leaders with strong communication and customer service skills. A background in roles such as hospitality, restaurants, retail, manufacturing. Even team leadership from other industries who have experience as shift leads, supervisors and managers.

Position Description:

The purpose of the position is to promote an exceptional customer service experience at the luxury property while ensuring the safety of the building by monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow and building activities. With a calm and professional demeanor, the Door Greeter will greet, interact, and direct all property patrons. The Door Greeter is responsible for opening building and vehicle doors and assisting the valet operation by keeping traffic flow safe.

Responsibilities:

+ Door Greeter must have a pleasant, calm, and professional demeanor: ability to graciously greet and interact with residents, guests, building vendors, and building management and team members.

+ Door Greeter must have professional interpersonal skills like learning resident names and anticipating their needs while maintaining focusing on vehicle traffic.

+ Open building and vehicle doors for anyone entering or exiting the building.

+ Provide assistance with directions, and address any concerns quickly and calmly.

+ Assist in keeping the entrance area clean, tidy, and safe for all guests.

+ APC Door Greeter must work in conjunction with valet parking operation and maneuver vehicles.

Requirements:

+ High School diploma.

+ Customer service.

+ Valid Driver’s License.

+ Adhere to APC location site Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

+ Clear communication skills.

+ Ability to think preemptively and appropriately provide preemptive service.

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining a positive, calm and professional demeanor.

+ Strong leadership potential or experience; we want people who aspire to lead teams.

+ Basic knowledge of safety protocols and guest services.

+ Well-groomed professional appearance.

+ Flexible schedule; ability to provide coverage when needed.

+ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

+ Must be able to stand and walk for long periods throughout the assigned shift or walk briskly/run to move vehicles.

+ Must be able to lift to 30lbs.

+ Physical demands described in this job description must be met to perform essential job functions.

+ All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

+ 1 year of high-end residential or hotel experience as Bellman, Porter, Door Attendant, Greeter, Server, Host, Traffic Control, Valet Associate.

+ Knowledge of hospitality operations or previous operations manager role.

+ Previous experience as a Shift Lead/Supervisor/Manager in hospitality, retail, security, manufacturing, restaurants, and other industries.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Late afternoon/evenings (3p-11p) availability during the week and on weekends. Schedule can be altered based on company needs.
