Overview

We are looking for a **Nurse Preceptor** to join our team at Gentiva Hospice.

This position reports to the AVPO and is responsible for providing high interaction with patients as well as new hire clinicians during hospice visits.

+ Facilitates the learning experience to allow preceptees to perform competently in their required responsibilities. This is achieved through mentoring, coaching, and role modeling correct behaviors.

+ Performs patient home visits in accordance with physicians’ orders.

+ Orients new nurses (preceptees) which includes hospice clinical policies and procedures, documentation, technology, compliance and regulatory requirements

About You

Hospice Registered Nurse Preceptor Requirements:

+ 2+ years of nursing experience in hospice and/or home health, required.

+ Additional, preferred experience to help you be successful in a hospice role: oncology, hospital Staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool, ER or emergency room, critical care, acute care, cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry or travel nursing.

+ RN license in the state of requested employment (or eligibility to obtain).

+ Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families.

+ Comfortable providing care wherever the patient calls “home”.

+ Demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting others in a time of crisis.

+ Current driver’s license and automobile insurance.

+ Current CPR certification

Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
