Job title: Lead RPG Developer

Are you a passionate Senior RPG Developer with lead experience ready to take the lead in driving high-impact projects across a dynamic retail and warehousing ecosystem? We’re looking for a Lead RPG Developer who thrives in the RPG and AS/400 world, and is eager to mentor and lead a team of talented engineers in a retail environment.

What You'll Do:

+ Lead the development and enhancement of business-critical applications in an AS/400 environment.

+ Leverage RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, and XML programming to build scalable, high-performance solutions.

+ Interface with external systems such as webMethods, Yantra, JDA, and Warehouse Management Systems, using XML and other integration techniques.

+ Design and implement stored procedures and data processes using PL/SQL and Oracle databases.

+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, and Operations.

+ Mentor junior developers and lead the team through agile delivery cycles.

+ Work in a fast-paced environment where your innovations directly impact end-users across warehousing and retail operations.

What You Bring to the Table:

+ Proven experience with RPG Free, Embedded SQL, SQLRPGLE, and CL programming.

+ Deep knowledge of AS/400 (iSeries) development environments.

+ Strong hands-on experience with XML programming — a must!

+ Background in integrating legacy systems with modern platforms and EAI tools (e.g., webMethods).

+ Exposure to retail or warehousing systems is a plus.

+ Experience with Cobol/400 and PL/SQL development.

+ Strong skills in Oracle SQL – writing queries, stored procedures, and data manipulation.

+ A natural leader with prior experience leading or mentoring a team of developers.

Requirements:

+ Experience leading a team

+ RPG Free, Embedded SQL experience

+ Warehousing or Retail experience

+ Development experience in AS/400 environment with very strong XML Programming

+ Experience by interfacing other systems in the landscape.

+ Experience developing on AS 400 environments.

+ Experience in RPG/RPGLE, Cobol/400, SQLRPGLE, CL programming

+ Experience with XML programming

+ Experience working in integrating AS/400 with webMethods (or any EAI tool), WM system, Yantra and JDA products with XML programming

+ Experience in development using PL/SQL

+ Experience with Oracle databases - SQL: queries, stored procedures
