Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Director of Emergency Services to deliver the best possible direction of care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.
SUMMARY:
Provides management and long-term planning of Emergency Services. Directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary professional staff to achieve optimal patient results and outcomes; provides director-level leadership to the Mobile Intensive Care Supervisor.
Carries out the mission, vision, and values of the hospital in the operation of emergency services. Develops operating and capital budgets, and obtains equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with budget guidelines. Completes policy review and implementation. Manages staff while maintaining positive morale and teamwork.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Master’s or doctorate degree required for CNP license.
+ Five-years nursing experience required.
+ Two years’ nursing shift supervision or experience in nursing management preferred.
CERTIFICATION and LICENSURE
+ Current Iowa RN or CNP license.
+ Federal and State DEA certification required for CNP Licensure.
+ Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter or obtaining in accordance with the hospital Education Policy.
