Position Summary:

Xylem is looking for Machine Builders to join our Holland, MI team! This position helps to with the final assembly of our products. We have a variety of products made in the Holland facility and this role helps to put them all together.

Responsibilities:

+ Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.

+ Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.

+ Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence

+ Assembles mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination

+ Assembles all variations of in-house standard products

+ Follows assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc solvent welding and thread taping.

+ Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures

+ Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site

+ Completes required documentation relative to production and quality

+ Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.

+ May read and interpret blueprints (product specific)

+ Maintains equipment and area in a clean safe condition

+ Will plumb variations of standard and custom products

+ Occasionally assist with in house plumbing mechanical work

+ Uses simple hand or power tools along with complicated jigs and fixtures

+ Update and redline drawings as required

Requirements:

+ Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience required.

+ Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic experience a PLUS

+ Ability to troubleshoot and rebuild filter presses highly preferred

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints (if applicable)

+ Proficient in the use of hand tools

+ High school diploma or GED

The estimated salary range for this position is $22/hr. to $28/hr..   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
