KBR’s Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army’s Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.

The Prototype, Integration, and Design (PID) facility manufactures and integrates electronic components into both ground and aviation systems in support of DoD and Commercial applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Directly lead a team of electrical technicians during wire harness fabrication and electronic assembly.

+ Interpret electrical drawings and establish workflow and processes.

+ Perform in-process inspections of departmental work.

+ Perform soldering and inspection of wiring harnesses.

+ Perform minor mechanical assembly.

+ Perform test functions using microscopes, multimeters, and various test equipment.

+ Conduct and/or assign highly complex R&D electrical wiring functions for prototype development as required

+ Communicate/Interact daily with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance personnel

+ Clearly articulate staff and electrical shop needs to the Manufacturing Shop Supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

+ Associate’s Degree in a related field (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

+ 5 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role related to Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or a related field

+ Possess or ability to obtain certification to IPC-A-610

+ Possess or ability to obtain certification to IPC J-STD-001

+ Possess or ability to obtain certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 10 years of Aviation Airframe or electronics experience

+ Degree or Certification in a related field

+ Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings
