    Tired of the stress and pressure of production schedules? Then come join the relaxed atmosphere of the **Welding** **Instructor** at the **Clearfield Job Corps Center** in **Clearfield, Utah** .

     

    **What you'll be doing:** Teaching youth, 16-24 years of age a trade in welding, this is an opportunity to teach today's youth a career that has always been and remains in high demand in today’s industry!

    Essential functions:

    + Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.

    + Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.

    + Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.

    + Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.

    + Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.

    + Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    + HSD/ GED required

    + Utah state certificate with an endorsement in welding or certified welding educator (CWE) through American Welding Society (AWS) or National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certified Craft Instructor.

    + Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.

    + A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
