Your role and responsibilities

The Chief Architect works with clients, and IBM Federal business development and delivery teams, both in a pre-sale and post-sale capacity. During pre-sales, the architect works with other solutions architects, industry representatives, deal teams, and delivery teams to ensure the IBM solutions meets the requirements in the Request for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP). Additionally, the architect works across IBM lines of business to influence client technical strategy to position IBM solutions and offerings for opportunities within the client ecosystem. From a post-sales perspective, the solution ar-chitect is responsible for ensuring the solution is well documented and communicated to CSS/PES-F teams delivery teams, offering owners, and Program/project managers.

Proven experience in large scale hyperscaler (AWS, Azure) and VMWare based cloud solutioning, and delivery - 3 years - Lead deal technical solutioning - Network Architecture and Design - 5-7 years - Experience architecting, implementing, and troubleshooting VMware network environments (NSX) and Hyperscaler CSPs - 3 years - Systems Administration, Engineering, and Architecture - 5-7 years - Cloud solutions design and implementation - 5 years - Storage, backup, and recovery administration/engineering/architecture experience - 3 years - Demonstrated ability to create architecture artifacts, design documents, and other formal documentation

Required technical and professional expertise

Proven experience in large scale hyperscaler Azure and VMWare based cloud solutioning, and delivery
