Your role and responsibilities

Understand product vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.

*

Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility

*

Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team

*

Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

*

Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications

*

Provide support for production escalations and problem resolution for customers.

*

Analyze requirements, design develop & maintain software products in alignment with the technology strategy of the organization.

*

Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met.

*

Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and cutting-edge software products that maintain IBM's technical leadership position.

*

Plan, develop, and manage the infrastructure to enable strategic and effective use of tools.

*

Proactively identifying issues and improvement opportunities.

*

Directing resources to diagnose and resolve complex system, application software, security and related problems that impact system and availability.

*

Lead the evaluation/evolution of tools/technologies/programs with input from internal teams, external developers.

*

Lead a team of software developers and ensure the successful delivery of projects.

*

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure superior product quality and timely releases.

*

Instill a culture of continuous improvement and effective teamwork through Agile practices.

*

Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate testing and deployment processes.

*

Conduct performance optimizations by analyzing metrics to enhance system efficiency.

*

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for all developed APIs and solutions.

*

Provide technical support and lead product demos and training sessions for internal customers using the developed tools.

*

Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to detect and address issues before they impact customers.

*

Integrate security measures such as encryption and regular audits into the development lifecycle using appropriate tools.

*

Perform security scans on all packages and tools to ensure there are no vulnerabilities at the time of product release.

Required technical and professional expertise

*

Minimum of 10 years of relevant software development experience, with a strong track record in leading and delivering complex projects.

*

Proven experience in leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical innovation.

*

Advanced programming skills in one of: Perl, Python, Golang, C/C++, Java, SQL, Perl with a continuous desire to learn and adopt new technologies.

*

Deep understanding of RDBMS concepts, SQL databases, and experience with Db2 similar enterprise-level database systems.

*

Deep knowledge in cloud architectures, cloud concepts, and cloud operations.

*

Hands-on experience with Linux and containerization technologies, such as Docker or Podman.

*

Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools, preferably Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes.

*

Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud®, AWS, Azure or Private Cloud deployments.

*

Profound knowledge of networking and storage technologies as well as security concepts in Cloud environments.

*

Practical experience in agile software development in distributed teams.

*

Broad and proven know-how in database architecture and technology.

*

Strong communication skills.

*

Proven innovation mindset.

*
