Kelly Science is seeking a Microbiologist for a growing company located in Farmingdale, NY.

Pay: $33/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm (some Saturdays)

Employment Type: Full Time; Temp-to-Hire

Job duties include:

+ Conducts routine sample testing per established procedures, including collecting specialized samples from production areas.

+ Assembles and disassembles laboratory instruments and prepares necessary solutions and media.

+ Records observations, conducts calculations, and assists in data preparation; keeps supervisor updated on work progress.

+ Reports results and maintains compliance with regulatory policies, ensuring quality and accuracy.

+ Adheres to operational, testing, GMP, and safety standards, practicing good housekeeping to prevent contamination and hazards.

+ Participates in investigational studies of atypical results and maintains lab standards or cultures when required.

+ Occasionally undertakes higher-level duties for training and development purposes.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field

+ 3+ years of microbiology related work experience. Strong knowledge of PET, Environmental Testing and Preparatory testing required, hands-on experience preferred.

+ Previous pharmaceutical or dietary supplement experience strongly preferred.
