JOB SUMMARY
The Global Sales Organization (GSO) Global Account Executive (GAE), Association is responsible for providing total account management for 50-70 of Marriott’s most profitable Association accounts with the goal of increasing Marriott’s preference, loyalty, and profitable share. The position serves as the global lead for the accounts in their assigned portfolio; they set the strategy for the account, work closely with our property-based and citywide sales managers, as well as Multi Hotel Sales to secure the most profitable business for our hotels. The GAE, Association will establish, manage, communicate, and execute account strategies in alignment with overall segment priorities, mapping buyers to accounts, defending and growing market share and revenue targets for assigned accounts, owning the return on invested capital (ROIC) for their accounts, and liaising with relevant cross-discipline resources (corporate, regional, market, property) to ensure smooth pull through of strategy and revenue to all stakeholders.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
_Required_
+ 6+ years’ experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance and 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major OR 8+ years of relevant professional experience in related function.
+ Account management experience

+ Industry involvement experience
+ Experience working with national association customers
+ Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.

+ Manages a portfolio of association accounts that are our most valued customers and partners.
+ Sets strategic alignment to the companies’ priorities to increase share.
+ Creates a partnership with our hotels to optimize and pull through business opportunities for all brands
+ Attends customer & Industry events to drive loyalty and share.
+ Informs, updates, and provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person in a timely manner.
+ Attends and participates in all relevant meetings.
+ Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organized manner.
+ Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
+ Maintains positive working relations with internal customers and department managers.
+ Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
+ Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.
The salary range for this position is $98,500 to $183,900 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
**Washington Applicants Only:** Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
