**Additional Information:** This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, HM Alpha Hotels and Resorts. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Develop new volume accounts, foster strong relationships with assigned existing accounts, and enhance the hotel's positive presence and reputation within the local community.
Responsibilities
Identify, negotiate, and secure contracted revenue from volume prospects in alignment with the hotel’s business objectives.
Leverage revenue management strategies to recommend competitive corporate rate proposals.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that provide value to both the client and the hotel.
Pursue new contract opportunities through diverse methods, including cold calls, in-person sales visits, community engagement, online research, supplier collaborations, and industry resources.
Develop, execute, and continuously refine strategic sales action plans to drive results.
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date contact management system to track client interactions effectively.
Negotiate and finalize contracts that meet the hotel’s revenue goals, ensuring alignment with desired patterns of arrivals, departures, and volume.
Effectively communicate client needs and expectations internally to ensure seamless coordination between the client and hotel staff.
Represent the hotel at target market trade shows and participate in sales blitzes to expand market reach.
Conduct thorough competitive analysis and maintain detailed competitor files to sustain a competitive edge.
Build and nurture strong relationships with local civic organizations and businesses to enhance community engagement and visibility.
Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Experience Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience
