Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering support with a focus on tooling design, process optimization, and troubleshooting production challenges. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and improvement of tooling, prepare blueprints, provide technical support to operations, and drive continuous process improvements. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will manage projects and collaborate closely with other engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and enhance tooling for the production of products, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
+ Create detailed blueprints for new tooling designs based on customer specifications.
+ Implement engineered solutions to ensure the processes are capable, repeatable, and meet quality standards.
+ Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Support engineering efforts focused on cost reduction strategies.
+ Troubleshoot and identify root causes of quality issues, working with teams to implement corrective actions.
+ Contribute to PF-CP-PFMEA processes, ensuring product and process risks are identified and mitigated.
+ Partner with manufacturing operations to minimize scrap and maximize production yield.
+ Work directly with customers to address production and quality-related issues as needed.
+ Support additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
+ Must Have proven experience in cold forming, threading, and secondary manufacturing processes.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
+ Strong ability to interpret, create, and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Decisive and confident decision-maker with strong leadership qualities, capable of motivating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical capabilities.
+ Proficient in using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering role, with a focus on production processes.
+ Experience in fastener design, selection, and application, with a deep understanding of materials, strength, and durability requirements.
+ In-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, machining, and tolerances.
+ Experience creating documentation and training materials for staff and operations.
+ Familiarity with working with external equipment suppliers.
+ Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen techniques.
+ Willingness to travel as needed.
