Manager, Linehaul - Hybrid

What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager, Linehaul at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

+ 5 years of experience in an LTL, supply chain or transportation service company

+ Prior experience purchasing LTL and Truckload transportation

+ Previous supervisory experience in a team-focused environment

+ Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management techniques and processes

+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); able to perform and direct moderately complex analysis in Excel

+ Strong analytical skills including using business intelligence tools

+ Able to manage personnel on-site and remotely

Preferred qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Businessor related field such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, etc. or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

+ Available to travel up to 25% of the time

+ Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and leadership skills

+ Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials and information

+ P&L management experience

What you’ll do on a typical day:

+ Collaborate with direct reports and departmental teams on achieving goals and performance targets

+ Drive for results through leadership and clear communication with the team; create continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability

+ Participate in establishing strategic plans with the senior management team; develop IT solutions, BI reports and third-party transportation providers

+ Partner with field management teams to aggressively search for opportunities to improve operational execution, cost savings and profitability

+ Collaborate with all levels and departments to include executives and leaders of several functional areas, including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, IT, BI and Safety

+ Provide strategic leadership and direction for assigned area; manage multiple teams with related activities that represent or significantly impact a sub-function

+ Oversee projects that directly impact business unit strategy

+ Participate in business unit or corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people

+ Continually review network design and apply modifications as needed

+ Build and maintain partnerships with third-party transportation providers\#LI-Hybrid
