• Production Operations Engineer

    Job Description

    This Production Operations Engineer will be a part of the Command Center for a large financial client. You will

     

    troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across various environments. This includes monitoring sites, triage, identifying root causes for incident management tier 1 support. In this role you will:

     

    Perform Linux system administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and security management.

     

    Conduct systems and multi-tier application and network troubleshooting.

     

    Develop and maintain scripts using Python or JavaScript to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

     

    Apply expertise in core Java concepts and JavaScript for system enhancements and maintenance.

     

    Implement and manage load balancing solutions (F5 & Avi) to ensure optimal performance.

     

    Utilize infrastructure/cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) to support and scale production environments.

     

    Employ configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) to streamline operations.

     

    Leverage GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with demonstrable knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

     

    Manage and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.

     

    Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience in software development, technical support, or operations.

     

    Exposure to SRE (FinTech preferred)

     

    Expertise in Linux system administration.

     

    Strong knowledge of systems and multi-tier application and network troubleshooting.

     

    Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or JavaScript).

     

    In-depth understanding of core Java concepts and JavaScript.

     

    Experience with load balancing principles (F5 & Avi).

     

    Familiarity with infrastructure/cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) preferred.

     

    Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible).

     

    Knowledge of GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with experience in Terraform, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

     

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

     

    Experience in incident management and handling. 12 hour shift* null
