    Description

    SUMMARY

    Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, performs routine housekeeping duties as well as minor repairs when needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    + Knowledgeable about and follows infection control/universal precautions.

    + Practice general safety procedures while performing housekeeping tasks.

    + Appropriately uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    + Employee completes daily assignment checklist.

    + Ensures that waste generated within the health care facility is collected, transported and disposed of properly.

    + Participates in the department's performance improvement activities.

    + Maintains patient /employee confidentiality in the management of information.

    + Displays courtesy, tact, and patience during interactions with all members of the staff and extended community.

    + Is punctual and maintains a satisfactory attendance record.

    + Employee uses equipment and supplies appropriately.

    + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    + Observes the Health Care system’s compliance policies.

    + Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements.

    + Identifies learning strengths and needs.

    + Utilizes learning resources.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Required minimum of (3) year experience working as a Housekeeper preferred in the Health Care field.

    + Experience with cleaning equipment including extractors, floor buffers and stripping machine.
