Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a SE Interface Engineer to support in Colorado Springs CO or Huntsville AL. Primary responsibility will be developing and updating XML schemas (.xsd files) to support multiple Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Will work with various ICD authors and participate in numerous technical working groups to apply knowledge of the system domain and interface exchange requirements. Must have working knowledge of XML and proficiency in XML Spy. Successful candidates will attend interface working group meetings with customers and representatives of assigned external element engineering organizations, as well as support program integration and test-related efforts for the associated interface. Successful candidates may also be assigned to support other interface engineers in developing ICDs for other BMDS Elements, XML schema development, requirements engineering, use case development, and logical architecture modeling tasks as SE department tasking dictates. The successful candidate will support spiral leadership to ensure interface artifacts and system assessment tasks required for the assigned sensor interface are completed when needed.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's in STEM w/ 8+ years of experience

Secret clearance or higher

Demonstrated Systems Engineering skills and experience with interface engineering, including message definition - XML (primary) and VMF

Networking experience (ISO OSI Model, TCP/IP, UCP), physical/network topologies and devices; network protocols

Experience with DOORS

Experience with ICD (Interface Control Documents)

Experience with requirements engineering, use case development, gathering and/or derivation MBSE Modeling

Structural modeling (structural composition diagrams, interface diagrams, conceptual object diagrams, etc.)

SysML

BMDS domain experience

RMF-based cyber security,

Project planning using Earned Value Management techniques and tools. null
