• Sr. Network Engineer - Voice Core

    Job Description

    A Network Engineer's daily responsibilities include reviewing and updating the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure data accuracy and completeness. They monitor and address issues, tickets, and emails related to network operations, prioritizing urgent matters and collaborating with team members to resolve complex issues. System updates are performed as needed, with all changes documented and communicated to stakeholders. The engineer attends meetings with vendors and design counterparts to discuss network design and implementation, and participates in calls regarding node acceptance testing. They run acceptance tests for network nodes, documenting results and providing feedback to vendors. Utilizing Ansible, they make changes to existing playbooks and create new ones to automate network tasks efficiently. Python scripting is employed to develop automation scripts, enhancing team efficiency through alarm automation and process handling. Strong technical skills in network management, CMDB, Ansible, and Python, along with excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, are essential for this role.

    Skills and Requirements

    Knowledge and experience supporting Mavenir IMS access/core products (TAS/CSCF, BGCF, MRF, SBC etc) and/OR Ericsson IMS access products (Cloud Native SBG/BGF). Most important.

     

    Experience running acceptance testing for node health and configurations

     

    Experience with TMO implemented systems preferred: ServiceNow, OneConsole, OneData, CyberArk, NetScout, etc).

     

    Knowledge and experience using ansible to create playbooks for automation of routine tasks.

     

    Knowledge and experience supporting RedHat OpenShift PasS.

     

    Knowledge and experience supporting Dell Hardware/IDRAC. null
