    Job Description

    We are seeking an Application Architect with strong experience in Java/SpringBoot application deployment, GKE/Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support a high-impact project for a major healthcare client. This role is ideal for someone who understands Java application architecture deeply, can advise on build and deployment strategies, and is comfortable working hands-on with GKE, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.

     

    Note: This is not a Java development role, but requires a deep understanding of Java/SpringBoot applications to support packaging, configuration, deployment, and architectural decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Package, configure, and deploy Java/SpringBoot applications to GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).

     

    Provide architectural guidance on Java application deployment, including build tool selection (Maven vs. Gradle).

     

    Adjust application configurations, security settings, and deployment parameters.

     

    Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.

     

    Support and optimize Cloud SQL, Redis, and cloud storage integrations.

     

    Troubleshoot deployment issues and contribute to performance tuning and best practices.

     

    Participate in architectural discussions and provide recommendations on tooling, deployment strategies, and cloud services.

     

    $50-60/hour

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.     Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience in application architecture, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles.

     

    Strong understanding of Java/SpringBoot application structure, packaging, and deployment.

     

    Hands-on experience with GKE/Kubernetes (pods, replicas, deployments).

     

    Proven experience deploying Java applications in Google Cloud Platform.

     

    Background in Java/Springboot development

     

    Experience with Cloud SQL, Redis, and Linux-based systems. null
