    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to join our team in Irving, Texas, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, including financial reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial consolidation and month-end close processes. This is a 6+ month contract position with a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week onsite in Irving, Texas).

    Interim Director of Accounting (contract position):

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

    • Oversee financial consolidation activities to provide a comprehensive view of organizational performance.

    • Conduct detailed financial statement audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Implement and maintain department SOPs to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Drive acquisition integration processes to align financial practices across merged entities.

    • Champion business process improvement initiatives to optimize accounting workflows.

    • Utilize advanced Excel formulas to analyze and present financial data effectively.

    • Manage the implementation and use of BlackLine software for streamlined accounting operations.

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness during data migration activities for accounting systems.

     

    Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting leadership roles.

     

    • CPA certification is required.

    • Proficiency in month-end close and financial consolidation processes.

    • Expertise in financial statement audits and reporting.

    • Familiarity with BlackLine software.

    • Strong knowledge of business process improvement strategies.

    • Advanced skills in Excel formulas and data analysis.

    • Experience with acquisition integration and data migration.
