Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join our plaintiff-side litigation team. We are looking for a seasoned litigator with a proven track record of success in high-stakes personal injury trials. The ideal candidate is passionate about advocating for injury victims, possesses superior trial skills, and can manage complex cases from intake through verdict and beyond.

This position will be on site in Hempstead, NY (Long Island) -OR- on site in Ridgewood, Queens.

• Lead the litigation and trial process in serious personal injury cases, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex liability matters

• Conduct all aspects of case strategy, development, and trial preparation

• Handle depositions, expert witness preparation, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• First-chair jury trials and arbitrations as necessary

• Collaborate with junior attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and medical experts

Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury cases.

• Active license to practice law in the state of New York.

• Proven track record of successful trial experience, including first-chair responsibilities.

• Strong skills in drafting legal motions, briefs, and other court documents.

• Expertise in managing discovery processes and preparing cases for trial.

• Excellent negotiation skills, particularly in settlement discussions and mediations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse legal team, including attorneys at various experience levels and support staff.

• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both in and out of the courtroom.
