Description We are looking for a skilled Package Designer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in creating and finalizing high-quality packaging artwork while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This opportunity is ideal for a creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional design solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine packaging artwork using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring designs are visually appealing and meet print standards.

• Prepare and adjust digital artwork for printing, including managing color profiles, resolution, and formatting requirements.

• Conduct color matching, separations, and proofing to ensure accurate reproduction of designs.

• Review and proofread designs for text, layout, and dimensions to guarantee print-ready files.

• Collaborate with translation services to incorporate localized copy into packaging designs.

• Design layouts that comply with product regulations, labeling standards, and industry codes.

• Create final production files that align with vendor specifications, including bleed, trim, dieline placement, and barcode integration.

• Work directly with printers to address issues, refine designs, and review digital proofs for consistency.

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, utilizing digital project management tools to meet deadlines.

• Maintain organized file structures and version control for all artwork submissions, ensuring consistency across packaging lines. Requirements • Proven experience in print and digital graphic design, with a focus on packaging artwork.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

• Strong understanding of pre-production processes and file preparation for printing.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-review designs for accuracy.

• Effective time management and task prioritization skills to handle multiple projects.

• Strong visual and typographic design abilities, with an eye for layout and aesthetics.

• Minimum of five years of experience in graphic design, with a specialization in packaging.

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Innovation starts with people.®
