Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team that thrives on tackling complex cases in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional to handle high-impact litigation matters while collaborating with a talented team of attorneys and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Case Management: Manage all phases of the litigation process, including pleading, motions, discovery, trial preparation, and trial representation.

+ Legal Research and Writing: Conduct in-depth legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery responses.

+ Client Representation: Represent and advocate for clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.

+ Discovery: Oversee and participate in the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, reviewing documents, and conducting depositions.

+ Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external legal teams, experts, and court officials to effectively manage and resolve cases.

+ Case Strategy: Develop case strategies, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations to achieve client objectives.

+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal standards, court rules, and procedural requirements.

Requirements

+ Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in Texas

+ Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, including trial experience and managing cases from start to finish.

+ Skills:

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities

+ Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), and document management systems.

Preferred Experience and Practice Areas:

+ Expertise in one or more of the following practice areas: commercial litigation, labor and employment issues, privacy/data security, or regulatory compliance

+ Experience with eFiling and eDiscovery processes is highly desired, as these are essential competencies in today’s legal field.
