Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual with a strong background in accounting who is eager to take on responsibilities involving financial analysis, general ledger management, and job costing. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results while maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and improve overall business operations.

• Learn and apply job costing techniques to ensure accurate tracking of project expenses and profitability.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Maintain adherence to accounting principles and company-specific policies.

• Utilize Great Plains software for accounting tasks and reporting.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous growth by learning new systems and industry-specific processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with tenure at one company.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and financial analysis.

• Familiarity with job costing methodologies is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.

• Proficiency in Great Plains accounting software.

• Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, or rentals is highly desirable.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
