Description

We are seeking a dedicated and client-focused Workers’ Compensation Attorney with 2–3 years of experience to join our plaintiff-side team. In this role, you will advocate on behalf of injured workers, guiding them through the legal process and fighting to secure the benefits and compensation they deserve.

This position will be on site in Hempstead, NY (Long Island) -OR- on site in Ridgewood, Queens.

• Represent injured workers in all phases of workers’ compensation claims, from intake to final resolution

• Manage a caseload with autonomy while collaborating with team members and support staff

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements

• Review and analyze medical records, wage information, and expert reports

• Take and defend depositions, including claimants, medical providers, and vocational experts

• Appear at administrative hearings, conferences, and trials before Workers’ Compensation Boards

Requirements • Active license to practice law.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in workers’ compensation or civil litigation.

• Strong skills in drafting motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.

• Proficiency in conducting depositions and handling discovery processes.

• Familiarity with analyzing medical records and wage documentation.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.

• Commitment to advocating for clients and ensuring they receive fair treatment.
