Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires an individual with a strong background in litigation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.

• Manage litigation schedules, including maintaining calendars and coordinating court appearances.

• Support attorneys by organizing case files, drafting correspondence, and conducting preliminary research.

• Handle scheduling tasks, such as arranging meetings and depositions.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of court filings.

• Facilitate communication with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.

• Assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all legal matters.

• Stay updated on e-filing procedures and court regulations. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in litigation, particularly in insurance defense or commercial litigation.

• Proficiency in e-filing legal documents with state and federal courts.

• Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures.

• Exceptional organizational skills, including calendar management and scheduling.

• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and other team members.

• Familiarity with court filing requirements and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
