Description
We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Englewood, CO. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining technical systems and software, with a strong focus on automation, deployment, and operational excellence.
4 days onsite, 1 day remote in Englewood, CO
Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
+ Perform engineering design evaluations and contribute to the development of a range of products.
+ Recommend design and development alterations to improve product quality and procedures.
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
+ Develop and implement monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance.
+ Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
+ Provide recommendations on testing techniques and process improvements.
+ Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines; work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ 6 to 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
+ Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Experience with:
+ Automating software deployment using tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
+ Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
+ Open source technologies and tools.
+ Systems and IT operations.
+ Data management with a focus on automation tools.
+ Revision control systems (e.g., GitHub) including branching and tagging strategies.
+ Provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS, OpenStack preferred).
+ Deployment and network operations or sysadmin tasks with scripting and coding experience.
+ Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred Skills
+ Operational knowledge of Kubernetes.
+ Proficiency in GoLang.
+ Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
