    JOB SUMMARY

    The Marketing Communications Manager position will lead a variety of internal and external marketing initiatives to deliver best-in-class customer engagement through trade shows and events. The Marketing Communications Manager will lead all planning and execution related to events that are in alignment with larger Marketing strategy and drive lead generation and brand awareness goals. This includes owning tradeshow and event logistics from start to finish, including pre-event contract negotiation, managing relationships with show providers and vendors, on-site support and post-show lead management and content creation. This position will also serve as a crucial support role for collaborating with cross-functional internal teams to deliver effective Sales enablement programs.

     

    Taking direction from the Director of Marketing Communications, this position will manage the collaboration among multiple internal departments and external entities to support the successful execution of a variety of events. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, detail- oriented, collaborative and creative and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Tradeshow & Event Planning: Manages the coordination and execution of trade shows and events in North America, booking booth space, coordinating logistics and set-up, optimizing booth layout and messaging, arranging travel accommodations and managing post-show lead routing and content creation. Works with internal stakeholders to understand event vision and goals and keeps all informed throughout the process. Liaises and manages relationships with vendors that participate in event execution and other marketing-related activities. Identifies areas needing improvement and develops plans necessary to continuously advance event and program execution. Attend shows and events as needed.

    + Lead Management: Works with Sales and Digital Marketing Specialist to optimize lead capture and routing process, ensuring leads are actionable and routed to CRM in a timely manner. Create campaigns, reports and dashboards and suggest activities that will help to improve lead generation year-over-year.

    + Content Creation: In addition to booth graphics and messaging, candidate develops event-specific marketing collateral including ads, brochures, posters, banners, contests, etc. Responsible for the development of digital assets used in the promotion of event participation, which may include social posts, landing a and event pages. Creates post-show website content that helps to humanize our brand and improve SEO.

    + Program Management: Manages and monitors online resources to support the Sales team, including creating purchase orders and reviewing invoices when needed and preparing and distributing marketing budget and usage reports for trade shows and events and platforms such as our Trade Show Support Portal, Responsible Printing Center and MyPIP® Store.

    CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

    + 5+ years’ experience in event planning and managing industry tradeshows

    + Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field

    + Skilled at navigating competing stakeholder priorities to achieve shared goals

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas

    + Self-directed with excellent project management and organizational skills

    + Familiarity with and/or eagerness to learn digital marketing tools and platforms, including Hubspot, Smartsheet and Microsoft Dynamics

    + Familiarity with safety and PPE products is a plus
