• Junior Systems Administrator

    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong expertise in both Linux and Windows server environments. This role is vital to maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our server infrastructure, ensuring uptime, security, and optimal performance across our enterprise systems.

     

    + Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) systems

    + Perform regular system updates, security patches, and backups

    + Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other Windows core services

    + Manage Linux services including Apache/Nginx, SSH, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and cron jobs

    + Implement and monitor system security measures in line with best practices (e.g., firewalls, SELinux, antivirus, file integrity monitoring)

    + Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues

    + Automate routine tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)

    + Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system outages and incidents

    + Work closely with the DevOps and IT teams on infrastructure improvements and automation projects

    + Document system configurations, procedures, and policies

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of experience administering both Linux and Windows server environments

    + Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server roles

    + Proficient in Linux shell environments and package management

    + Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

    + Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, SolarWinds)

    + Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)

    + Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python

    + Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
