Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Trust Accounting Associate to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of trust accounting operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while utilizing your accounting expertise and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Match and apply cash receipts to payment lines in booking reports to ensure accurate cash receipt application.

• Investigate and resolve cash receipts lacking sufficient information by collaborating with studios, agents, or business managers.

• Update booking records and client profiles to reflect accurate payment information as needed.

• Attach relevant backup documentation to payment lines for proper record-keeping.

• Correct misapplied receipts by processing refunds or transferring funds to appropriate accounts.

• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve held checks or other trust accounting issues promptly.

• Manage escrow funds by trading and releasing them according to scheduled dates.

• Close fully paid bookings that meet established criteria for completion.

• Coordinate with other trust accounting teams to ensure seamless operations and communication.

• Escalate complex issues to the Trust Accounting Supervisor for resolution and guidance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including resolving discrepancies and reconciling statements.

• Prior experience in the entertainment industry is highly desirable.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic corporate environment.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Dynamics GP.

• Competency in typing at a minimum of 45 words per minute and 10-key data entry by touch.
