    Parker's Internship Program was established in 1978 to identify and help develop promising college students, by providing real-world experience in disciplines critical to Parker's business. As an intern, you will gain experience while supporting the HR department’s function.

     

    Provides specialized expertise in one or more human resources functional areas and assists in generalist responsibilities for the location. Contributes to projects and programs of diverse scope relating to HR functions. Assists in organizational development and change that supports key business objectives. Observes and promotes adherence to all ethical standards. Applies continuous improvement measures and methods for creating efficient HR administrative processes.

    Depending on candidate experience and departmental needs, the HR Internship may provide exposure to:

    + Help organize employee engagement events, initiatives, training sessions, and team-building activities

    + HRIS administration including updating employment records and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations

    + Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews

    + Supporting the onboarding of new team members including preparing orientation material and conducting orientation sessions

    + Administrative activities including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing correspondence

    + Support maintaining workspace supplies

    + Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects

    + Maintain a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external

    Qualifications:

    We seek interns who will make meaningful contributions in support of our service to our customers and the company’s WIN Strategy.

     

    + Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or in a business field, preferably with an HR Minor

    + At least two years of undergraduate coursework completed

    + This is an in-person opportunity. Must reside in the Richmond, CA area during employment.

    + Excellent administrative skills

    + Detail oriented

    + Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people

    + Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

    + Able to provide high quality customer service through phone calls, email, and face to face interactions

    + Strong project management skills required to support multiple projects simultaneously

     

    This is a paid, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) opportunity that starts in August 2025 and ends in December 2025 (5 months). The hourly rate for this role is $20/hour.
