    Now Hiring for Hospital Development Account Executive

    Job Summary:

    Serves as a liaison to hospitals within ConnectLife’s Donor Service Area (DSA), developing and implementing strategies to increase anatomical donor referrals and improve performance outcomes in organ and tissue donation. Develops and sustains relationships with referring physicians, nursing staff, hospital leadership, and other hospital staff in assigned hospitals to achieve performance goals.

    Schedule:

    Monday-Friday; must have flexibility outside standard office hours, as needed including on call requirements.

     

    Travel between local WNY hospitals required

    Salary:

    Full Time, Exempt

     

    Range $75,000-$90,000 annually, salary will commensurate based on combined education and relevant experience.

    Education Requirements:

    + Associate degree in a related field required.

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Experience:

    + Three years’ experience in related healthcare, quality improvement, education, sales and/or marketing preferred.

    + Experience in communicating information, data, trends, and strategies to executive leadership, health care leaders, and public groups preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Strong customer service focus with effective relationship building skills required to work in partnership with various levels of hospital staff.

    + Demonstrate success in a communication-driven role with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry required.

    + Must maintain skills to clearly communicate with organizational staff and internal/external stakeholders.

    + Must be adaptable to change, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to think critically and multi-task while maintaining focus and accuracy through interruptions.

    + Knowledge of data analysis and data management required.

    + Must be able to remain professional in making decisions and handling confidential information.

    + Experience with project management and setting performance standards preferred.

    + Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Travel required.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Develop and implement hospital-specific, strategic plans that create positive change in hospital practices related to the donor process and that ultimately increase organ and tissue donation in assigned hospitals. Collaborates with appointed hospital staff to set quarterly and yearly goals to continuously improve performance that is consistent with ConnectLife’s organizational goals and strategic plans.

    + Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital clients. Utilize customer service skills to identify decision-making individuals who can influence hospital protocols. When possible, establish donor councils at assigned hospitals using peer level influence to forge a consensus about standards of practice for the donation process.

    + Identify barriers to donation in assigned hospitals and work with hospital partners to overcome these challenges. Assists management in reviewing and assuring all hospital development documentation is complete and meets standards for all ConnectLife hospitals.

    + Perform routine medical record reviews to identify potential referrals and ensure hospital compliance with regulatory and local agreements.

    + Analyze and interpret data through medical record review data/metrics and formulate and deliver educational programs based on the results. Share hospital performance data with decision-making individuals who can influence hospital protocols to include demonstrated best practices for donation.

    + Conduct ongoing education needs assessments for assigned hospitals and develop and implement educational plans. Design and conduct professional education programs to meet the needs of assigned hospitals.

    + Acquire and provide hospital feedback after referrals and donors, as needed. Respond to issues in the donation process by identifying those involved and utilize problem-solving skills to coordinate a proactive follow-up plan that ensures resolution.

    + Provide/create educational materials (presentations, data, hand-outs, etc.) to be shared in hospitals, and present education programs as necessary to individual or groups of key hospital staff.

    + Serve as an educational resource to “hospital partners” and their clinical staff. Continuously hosts on-site meetings and training in assigned hospitals to individuals or groups of key hospital staff.

    + Secures and maintains visibility by rounding in all relevant units.

    + Participate in community events surrounding assigned hospital(s) such as Donate Life Month, as well as community-based donation promotion activities as needed.

    + Perform hospital development quality assurance activities.

    13. Make a proactive effort to stay informed and up to date regarding changes within the donation fields

    14. Have a working knowledge of AOPO, CMS, and UNOS requirements regarding educational programming and data requirements. Be available for routine regulatory audits.

    15. Participate in Hospital Develop on-call activities
