Allied Universal® is hiring an Event Staff - No License Required. The Event Staff role is responsible for welcoming and ushering guests, collecting/scanning tickets, checking bags, enforcing access control and implementing policies and procedures for the safety of the guests and owners, while providing superior customer service for the best guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution

+ Allow appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue and/or parking area

+ Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification

+ Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints

+ Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provides escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted

+ Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events

+ Initiate personal greetings to our guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location and a sincere thanks as you complete your encounter with each guest

+ Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

+ High school diploma or equivalent or a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable work experience

+ Current Driver’s License if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle

+ No prior experience required

+ Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)

+ Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

+ Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

+ Effective oral and written communication skills

+ Problem solving skills

+ Active listening skills

+ Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively

+ Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

+ Skilled in compiling, sorting, and interpreting data

+ Research and investigative skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

+ Prior event staff, security, law enforcement, or military experience
