Are you interested in supporting the career growth of future engineers while managing impactful programs and services?
The College of Engineering at Iowa State University is seeking a Career Services Specialist II to support students, alumni, and employers through individual advising, program coordination, and outcomes reporting. This position is a key contributor to the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the Engineering Career Services office.
What you’ll do:
+ Provide 1-on-1 career advising to engineering students and alumni, covering topics such as resumes, interviews, job offers, career planning, and more.
+ Coordinate and deliver career development presentations and workshops for student organizations, classes, and employer events.
+ Support students and employers with experiential education programs, including internships, co-ops, and job shadowing.
+ Lead career outcomes data collection efforts for the College of Engineering, including survey administration, data accuracy review, and report preparation for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Contribute to front-line customer service by responding to student, employer, and faculty inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct student support and working in a highly collaborative environment. In addition, a candidate that values data-informed programming, and excels in managing multiple projects.

+ Location: On-site at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. This position has the possibility of being hybrid up to 40%.
