    The Lead Security Guard is responsible for working with the security team to provide a safe and secure living and working environment for staff and students (ages 16-24). This position oversees security details and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Conducts investigations of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.

    WHAT IS EXETER JOB CORPS ACADEMY?We support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Medical Assistant Certification (CMA).

     

    EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPSEmployment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check.

     

    Rate of Pay:$19.45/hr.

     

    Work Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 3pm-12am /Monday & Tuesday OFF

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Helps maintain a safe and secure environment on center

    + Complies with DOL/Company reporting requirements

    + Compiles, analyzes and summarizes safety/security data and takes appropriate actions to resolve issues and concerns

    + Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised

    + Helps conduct and document Center-wide safety and accident prevention training

    + Conducts and documents incident and accident investigations per established timelines and requirements

    + Conducts routine safety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards

    + Responsible for Center security, visitor control and student accountability

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Must be 21 years or older to apply

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required

    + A minimum of one year military, law enforcement, or security experience required

    + A valid driver's license required

    + Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
