Job Summary:

General Laborer position requirements include, but are not limited to, general plant labor and clean-up of production areas; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; being trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands. Operate small equipment; replace or assist other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities & Duties:

+ Safely and efficiently perform various housekeeping and manual labor tasks throughout entire plant

+ As directed by supervisor, fills in when needed in all areas of plant operation

+ Safely operates mobile equipment when necessary

+ Participates in any training that may be required to improve job performance or operating efficiency

+ Write work orders for necessary maintenance and safety concerns

+ Communicate to supervisor problems or areas of concern and coordinate work efforts with co-workers

+ Assist in performance of minor maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor

+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Willing and able to work overtime and rotating shifts

+ Must possess basic ability to read and write

+ Should be capable of operation of mobile equipment

+ Should have experience working around moving machinery

+ Must be able to walk over rough terrain, stoop, reach, climb, kneel, and carry up to 60 pounds

+ Position includes work, both indoors and outdoors, involving temperature extremes, dust, noise and humidity
