Join our client's team as an Environmental Commodities Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in managing renewable fuel credit operations and ensuring compliance with federal environmental regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of environmental sustainability and commercial trading, supporting their commitment to clean energy initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
You'll be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of environmental credit transactions, from initial processing through final reporting, while collaborating with diverse teams across the organization. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and wants to make a meaningful impact in the renewable energy sector.
Transaction Management & Analysis
+ Oversee the end-to-end processing of Renewable Identification Number (RIN) transactions, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
+ Conduct thorough reconciliation and validation of fuel credit data across multiple systems
+ Perform detailed analysis of environmental credit portfolios to identify trends and opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with trading desks, operations teams, and external counterparties to facilitate smooth transaction flows
+ Support regulatory reporting initiatives and maintain compliance with EPA Renewable Fuel Standard requirements
+ Contribute to process enhancement projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing risk
Data Management & Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records of all fuel credit transactions within their enterprise systems
+ Generate comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
+ Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance metrics and compliance indicators
Foundation & Technical Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Business, or related field
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions
+ Experience with SAP S4 HANA or similar enterprise resource planning systems
+ Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Professional Attributes
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with internal teams and external partners
+ Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
+ Self-motivated approach with demonstrated initiative in problem-solving
Preferred Experience
+ Background in commodities trading, energy markets, or environmental compliance
+ Familiarity with renewable fuel standards and environmental credit mechanisms
+ Experience in back-office operations or transaction processing environments
+ Knowledge of EPA regulations and renewable energy policy framework
+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
+ Pay Range: $40/hr W2
