Remote Pharmacy Technician – Insurance & Coverage Determination Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling insurance claims, processing prior authorizations, and making coverage determinations. You’ll work independently from your own space, but as part of a collaborative and mission-driven team dedicated to improving patient access to medications.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process and follow up on insurance claims and prior authorizations
+ Evaluate and make coverage determinations based on insurance guidelines
+ Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients as needed
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in electronic systems
+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
Requirements
+ High School Diploma or equivalent(required)
+ Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state you reside in
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required
+ 1+ year of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare insurance setting
+ Strong understanding of insurance processes and prior authorization workflows
+ Excellent computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
+ Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional remote workspace
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
