Job Title: Assistant R&D Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant R&D Chemist to conduct research and development testing on a daily basis. This role involves running specific formulation-based experiments to evaluate the applicability of new chemical formulas and performing necessary wet chemistry and analytical methods to ensure products meet specifications. Documentation of all laboratory data and assisting chemists with active projects, presentations to customers, and other R&D related activities are also key components of this position.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct R&D testing on a daily basis.

+ Run specific formulation-based experiments to determine the applicability of new chemical formulas.

+ Perform necessary wet chemistry and analytical methods to ensure products meet specifications.

+ Document all laboratory data as needed.

+ Assist senior chemists with active projects, presentations to customers, and other R&D related activities.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in chemistry.

+ Experience in performing chemistry testing and formulation-based experiments.

+ Strong knowledge of formulation techniques.

+ Expertise in analytical chemistry and wet chemistry.

+ Background in research and development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of barrier coatings.

Work Environment

This position is based in a chemistry-focused R&D laboratory. The work schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 to 45 hours per week. The role offers amazing benefits and career progression opportunities to chemist-level roles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
