This position requires a highly motivated and results-driven sales professional to lead new business acquisition efforts within an assigned territory. The primary responsibility is to prospect for new clients, identify, engage, and close new customer opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic selling. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with the Account Manager to support territory-level revenue growth by ensuring a smooth transition of new accounts and alignment with broader business objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and engage prospective clients through cold calling, networking, outbound campaigns, and industry events.
+ Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified new business opportunities to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
+ Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
+ Work closely with the Account Manager to develop and execute a territory plan that aligns with top-line revenue goals.
+ Prepare and deliver periodic business reviews with key clients, performed at least annually with the top 10 clients in each region.
+ Coordinate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to tailor value propositions and deliver a seamless buying experience.
+ Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to effectively articulate our value proposition.
+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in the CRM.
+ Prioritize daily activities for efficient and productive selling days.
+ Utilize data to plan sales strategies using CRM data and dashboards, Territory Sales Reports, etc.
+ Communicate the features and benefits of products and services to create new clients or increase sales from existing clients.
+ Thoroughly discuss various testing options from technical to laymen’s perspective with potential and existing clients.
+ Train new clients and front office staff on available testing by delivering tailored product presentations.
Essential Skills
+ Documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets via consultative sales approach.
+ Proficient in computer/technology skills, especially with Microsoft products.
+ Detail-oriented, highly motivated, well-organized, and possesses problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to understand and articulate complex medical diagnostic products and tools.
+ Proficient in the use of CRM/business analytics to ensure proper focus on high-value activities.
+ Polished verbal, written, and presentation skills.
+ Proven self-starter and motivated team player.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Five+ years of outside sales experience utilizing consultative selling skills, preferably in laboratory/medical/healthcare industry.
Work Environment
This role is fully remote with 25% overnight travel and visits/day trips to client sites. The team comprises six people, working closely with an Account Manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
