    TRD is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join the team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead, train and supervise QC personnel in daily responsibilities and procedure enforcement consisting of but not limited to: daily CMM and inspection equipment maintenance requirements, Probe maintenance, NCR follow up, 5S.

    + Schedule inspector daily work, assign project, monitor OT use in line with dept OT targets, and oversee and follow up on assigned tasks given to QC team members.

    + Develop a practical visual queuing system that reflects inspection priority for parts present on QC shelves.

    + Team skill building: identify department skill deficit, define and propose individual employee improvement plans with an emphasis for the PIWEB software. Adjust the role and responsibility of team members as needed to improve overall efficiency of the department.

    + Actively mentor and participate in the training of inspector. Includes goal setting and review, along with completion of annual performance review. Maintain the department’s skill matrix up to date.

    + Define and implement PIWEB generic custom report for component family. Train QC CMM programmer(s) to be able to adjust/ re-use generic report for subsequent revision or similar product. Create CMM programs and associated PIWEB report.

    + Problem solving / Component Quality: daily report to Production and Engineering regarding the quality problem detected by the department. Highlight useful trends and participate to root cause analysis in collaboration with PROD and Mfg. Engineering department. Continuously improve and adjust quality report/ feedback for department customers. Propose and create a custom report as needed.

    + Develop, implement, and evaluate SOP’s and WIs to maintain, related to: Equipment maintenance, Gage calibration, product inspection process. Initiate plans to harmonize/standardize the procedure between QC Baker and QC Fischer activities.

    + Review and organize with managers (QC, Mfg. Engineering, design) the Drawing Change Request (DCR) process. Actively make proposals for the flow and format leading to the implementation of the process under future Oneplan module. Follow up with concerned parties the status of the requests.

    + Technical oversight- Metrology defines best metrological practices for inspection processes. Implement system to verify integrity of data collected (probe offset checks, improve team ability to troubleshoot issues.

    + PIWEB database management: Responsible to maintain PIWEB database up to date and structured to facilitate rapid investigation (trend analysis, simulation etc.)

    + Department software maintenance: responsible to timely organize repair, license renewal, upgrade of the software used in QC department ( i.e. Calypso, PIWEB …) Act as a liaison with equipment manufacturer.

    + Organize and follow-up calibration service for the equipment and maintain record up to date.

    + Responsible for communication with the management team of any critical equipment or team member issues.

    + Identifies opportunities for improvement. Proposes a viable plan for implementation for improvement, executes plan to completion. Track and record Inspection process time per product and OP allowing cost analysis and priority of improvement/optimization plan.

    Required Qualifications:

    + BS in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) or equivalent with an emphasis on Aerospace and/or automotive manufacturing.

    + 7+ years’ experience using Calypso software from Zeiss at proficiency level.

    + Create CMM programs of complex machine components.

    + Proficient in GT&D (ASME Y14.5 and ISO). Experience with Gage R& R protocol (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) and calibration technics.

    + Be capable of assessing manufacturability and define capable inspection strategy/ equipment.

    + Proficient in PIWEB database from Zeiss.

    + Structure/organize data collection allowing query showing trend analysis for Production or Engineering needs.

    + Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint)

    + Profecient skill associated with CAD / CAM and Inspection software options.

    Travel Requirements:

    + 5% travel to training or Vendor/Supplier visit as required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Ability to communicate with a variety of customers using data

    + Hand on team leadership experience including supervision, goal setting, problem solving and follow up.

    + Direct experience with root cause analysis associated with manufactured products and human performance.

    + Passion for precision and efficiency

    + Advanced engineering drawing and GD&T knowledge and understanding of (machinig) manufacturing processes.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $112,600.00 - $183,000.00.
