We are currently seeking a Mental Health Professional Intern to join our Collaborative Care Model team as a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC). This is a grant-funded position backed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
The Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) is a specific integrated behavioral health model, and is widely agreed upon as the integrated care approach with the most robust evidence base proving its effectiveness. Our team at Hennepin Healthcare is leading Minnesota in its implementation. It is a team-based approach to treating mental health conditions – especially commons ones like depression and anxiety – within primary care settings. The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) is a coremember of the CoCM team, facilitating communication among all team members and acting as the lead contact person for the patient.

Under the clinical supervision of a mental health professional, the MHP intern is responsible for supporting and coordinating the behavioral health care of patients on an assigned patient caseload in partnership with the patient’s medical provider (PCP) and a consulting psychiatrist.
