    Job Title: Machinist

    Job Description

    The CNC Machinist role involves operating, maintaining, and editing CNC machines in a job shop environment, including Vertical Mills, Manual Lathe, Brake Presses, and Lasers. The position requires making machine edits and tool changes, reading blueprints, and using calipers and micrometers to ensure parts remain within tolerance. The role focuses on machining steel, stainless, and brass materials, with production shop shorter run times and the use of G&M code.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and maintain CNC machines including Vertical Mills and Manual Lathes.

    + Make machine edits and perform tool changes.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Use calipers and micrometers to keep parts within tolerance.

    + Perform machining on steel, stainless, and brass materials.

    + Utilize G&M code for programming and operations.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of machining experience with Vertical Mills, Brake Presses, or CNC Lasers.

    + Experience in machine setup and tear down.

    + Capability in editing and making tool changes.

    + Good job tenure with 4+ years per company.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints.

    + Basic experience in machine setup and tool changes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of G&M Code and Fanuc Controls.

    + Program editing skills.

    + Experience with robotic welders.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility, built in 2021, is very clean, safe, and climate-controlled. The role requires working overtime, with typical hours ranging from 45-50 hours per week, and occasionally working 10 to 12-hour shifts. The company manufactures over 10,000 parts for a variety of industries including data centers, vessels, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
