CNC Machinist

Pay Rate - $28/hr. **Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with advanced experience in both lathe and mill operations, particularly with Okuma and FANUC controls. Proficiency in Mastercam programming is essential. The ideal candidate will be capable of setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines with minimal supervision. Experience in welding is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills with Okuma and/or FANUC controls.

+ Program parts using Mastercam software.

+ Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.

+ Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools.

+ Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes.

+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines.

+ Perform welding tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Extensive experience with Okuma lathes and mills or FANUC-controlled mills.

+ Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming.

+ Strong understanding of machining principles and GD&T.

+ Ability to work independently and mentor junior machinists.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Welding experience is a plus.

+ Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining and custom part fabrication.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
