    Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical maintenance and repair of assigned buildings. This role requires the completion of work orders using work order-related software and responding to emergency situations in line with departmental protocols. The technician will assist in maintaining equipment, tools, supplies, inventories, and logs, and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan. Expense control related to building operations is also a key aspect of this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete work orders for physical maintenance and repair tasks.

    + Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols.

    + Assist in establishing and maintaining equipment, tools, and supplies.

    + Implement and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan.

    + Control expenses associated with building operations.

    + Maintain professional and courteous interactions with tenants, co-workers, vendors, and patients.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.

    + Perform electrical wiring and installation tasks.

    + Carry out painting, carpentry, and flooring work.

    + Provide plumbing services for sinks, restrooms, and kitchens.

    + Repair minor appliances and furniture.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in plumbing and electrical work, including changing fixtures and troubleshooting.

    + Capability to reset breakers and change light bulbs.

    + Basic HVAC knowledge, specifically for resetting units.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with HVAC systems and automation for building controls.

    Work Environment

     

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work both indoors and outdoors, primarily indoors but occasionally needing to access the roof. The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime. The technician will be part of a sociable and friendly team, collaborating with one other experienced maintenance technician who is eager to share knowledge. The on-call rotation includes weekends, alternating two weeks on and two weeks off, with compensation for a minimum of two hours if called in.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
